I am an Assistant Professor at Northwestern University (USA) and the co-chair of the War & Society Working Group at Northwestern's Buffett Institute. I am also a contributor to the blog Political Violence at a Glance.

I graduated
summa cum laude from Sciences Po Paris with a B.A. in Economics, Politics and Latin American Studies. I also hold a Double-M.S.in Development Studies and International Political Economy from Sciences Po Paris and the London School of Economics and a Ph.D. in Politics and Public Policy from Princeton University.

From 2008-2009, I was the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Public and International Affairs (JPIA). I also served as a fellow with the U.S. House of Representatives' Ways and Means Committee and worked for the European Commission, the European Parliament, the German Foreign Office as well as NGOs in Mexico and Argentina. I have received fellowships from the National Science Foundation, the United States Institute of Peace, Princeton University, the Princeton Institute for International and Regional Studies, the London School of Economics, the Paris Foundation for Political Research, the Bradley Foundation, the French Air Force Academy among others.

In my freetime, I am an ardent traveler and photographer (please visit the photography section of this website to see some of my work). So far, I have visited almost half of the countries in the world --- so, plenty more to go! I also LOVE classical music and modern art.
